Service - bartender Gigi makes amazing inventive cocktails. This young man is very intuitive as to patrons tastes. Staff all welcoming and very nice. Beautiful hostess always so pleasant. Food- absolutely delicious. The pork and mushroom dumplings were delicious. Skewer grilled Georgian shish-kebab made from organic meat, served with baked/mashed potatoes or grilled vegetables & ajika or tkemali sauce. We tried both Pork and Lamb both delicious. Also loved the Organic grass-fed cornish hen oven roasted in garlic thyme sauce, served with Georgian bread. Amazing... try this wonderful very Authentic Georgian restaurant. You will be delighted.

Overall rating: 4.5 When I was out once, someone from Georgia told me this was the best restaurant NYC has for their type of food. I was very excited to give it a try with some friends. It's very romantic and homey, but I will say it isn't created for visitors. It's a bit hard to order & trying to understand what kind of food I would like. The waiter was friendly but this vibe is more of a date spot than friends trying something new. At times, I felt l like I was too loud. The food was good but not sure if it's for me. I was missing some salt & flavor in a few dishes. This is definitely more of an older & local spot. So if you live nearby, can be worth trying out!

Sometimes it feels like we eat the same things over and over again just at different restaurants. It was fun to mix it up with some georgian fare. You can never go wrong with some georgian cheesy bread and they had a suprisingly fun collection of seasonal cocktails to choose from too.

wow! heard about this place from a native Georgian friend who claimed it was the best Georgian restaurant. nestled between Turkey and Russia, this cuisine surprised, intrigued and delighted me! shared five dishes between three friends, all vegetarian. the wholesome salad was a hit! fresh cucumbers and tomatoes in a yummy pesto sauce with an interesting cheese thing. the khinkali dumplings were my favorite, similar to chinese xiaolongbao but massive and served with sour cream like pierogis imeruli was as expected - bread and cheese. yum. lobio was yummy, tasted like indian cuisine and enjoyed the hard crunch of the corn bread. was not a fan of the pickled onions and pickles. too sour for my taste. finally the eggplant based chanakhi was a nice blend of vegetables but tasted like pretty standard mediterranean(?) food I've had before. service was super friendly and attentive and the place was so cute! i especially adored the cute floral plates. will definitely return to try the meat dishes!

We've enjoyed several meals at this neighborhood Georgian restaurant. Always pleased and never disappointed. Wide variety of appetizers and entrées and excellent cocktails. The wines are quite good as well. There is a lovely seating area in the back which is actually an enclosed courtyard. It's very comfortable there and perfect for conversations. The dishes are unusual and quite tasty.

First time having Georgian food at a restaurant and I was very excited! Didn't have a reservation but was able to get a table walking in and the restaurant seemed pretty open and empty for the rest of the time as well. - Chakapuli - I didn't expect the flavors of this dish to be so mild. On the menu, it seemed like it was going to be a flavor explosion because of how many ingredients there were; but dare I say it's a Georgian minestrone soup? I did appreciate the lamb as it was incredibly tender and I loved the bread that it came with as it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. - Khachapuri - This is a must-get when you're here! I was a bit confused as to what this was at first, but this cheese boat is delicious. The cheese wasn't too overwhelming as it had a subtle taste and it mixed very well with the raw egg. The bread on the side was delicious as well and really balanced out the flavors. I think my biggest takeaway from this meal is that I absolutely love Georgian bread. Would recommend when in UES!

Consistently one of my favorite places to go to on the UES. The food is always great and the servers are so sweet. Definitely gives more of homemade feel despite being a nicer restaurant compared to the chain Georgian restaurants in the city. The back room is so beautiful and the interior is done well.

I really wanted to try this restaurant as soon as I saw it. Georgian food... What do you know about Georgia? I don't know anything about Georgia. Which is why I wanted to eat here! I can now safely say anyone that enjoys proteins, vegetables and sauces will enjoy Georgian food. Very generic, right? That's because Oda house makes familiar food (chicken, salmon, dumplings) but in a "different" (Georgian) style. And they do it very, very well. To get a bit more specific, I tried three entrées and one appetizer: Chakhokhbili (chicken in veggie sauce) Shkmeruli (Cornish hen in thyme garlic sauce) Oda House Special- Salmon (salmon stuffed with mashed potatoes) Khinkali Julien Zhulien (mushroom cheese dumplings) As you can see these are familiar foods, albeit with crazy names. Each dish was expertly cooked with tender, juicy meat, good oil and salt levels, and incredible complex herb and spice flavors. So don't get overwhelmed and overthink the menu! Get any entrée and be amazed. Oh and don't forget to order an extra side of their amazing (and inexpensive) bread to soak up all the juices!
